Below are the current matches that I've recieved notes for I was told by a friend that his note didn't get through to me, due to a hiccup in the DA server, so if you sent me a note and aren't listed here, then please send it again, as I most likely did not recieve it.

Sorry about the over the top title

Well, for all that are interested, the Dream Tournament will officially be open now!

The layout of all of this is pretty simple:
Below this explanation will be a list of most of my characters. In order to participate, simply choose a character of mine that one of your characters would like to fight. After you tell me the match-up that you'd like, I'll put it on a posted list and then I'll get to work doing my part.

What I'm going to be doing is writing out a confrontation between the two characters, as well as drawing a scene from that confrontation. That means that I'm going to be working a lot with your characters, so I'll need as much information as you can give me about them.

If you want your character to participate, simply send me a note telling me as much. The note should contain something like this:

Character name:
Character that you want to fight:
Description of your character or reference image:
Short background: (Just a few scentences telling me who your character is, what their personality is like, how they fight, and where they come from.)
Something that your character would say about the fight: (to help me for writing)
Additional Information: (Anything else you think would be useful to know about your character, suggestions for the fight, requesting that your character not be involved in direct combat, etc.)

** As a note: Please try to put at least something in the first five sections. It's all right if you don't know what character of mine you want to fight, but if you don't tell me more than what amounts to "Just draw my character doing something cool," than it makes things kind of difficult on my end with this

Now, just to ease a few folks' minds, not every fight is going to be centered around smashing the other character's skull in Variety is the spice of life, and there are lots of ways for characters to compete without any real physical violence. Also, no matter how deadly any character is, no one is going to die in this tournament. There will be blood in some matches, of course, and the nature of fighting is violence, but I will not let any characters die or get horribly mangled in the fight. The goal of this is to see how our characters can connect and how that might turn out.

Also, if more than one person requests to fight with a character, the first person to do it will get the fight. I'll send you a note asking you to pick another character if you're not the first, unless I think up some sort of random group match, but that would depend upon the numbers.

If folks are wondering about entering multiple characters, then that's fine too, since the turnout on the last journal seemed a bit low. Please don't request more than *two*, though, and if someone who's sending in a single character wants to fight the same character as one of your additional characters, then that single person gets to have the fight. I'll be sure to tell folks when this happens.

Finally, about victory:
The goal of this tournament, again, is to see how characters connect, but there will be winners and losers for the fights. After thinking about, I decided that the winners will be chosen randomly. It seems like the best way to keep things fair without bruising any egos. However, if someone really wants their character to lose for some reason, then that's perfectly acceptable. Just send me a note telling me as much

I really hope that as many folks as possible participate in this I also hope that it isn't too complicated. If anyone has any questions about this, please contact me any way you prefer and I'll do my best to help you figure it out. If there's enough interest while this goes on, I might do a "Round 2" and let the winners from the previous round match up.
